JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for developing and implementing production plans to maximize the use of the organization's resources and meet established production specifications and schedules. Monitors production activity and analyzes production data to ensure the flow of material meets production requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares work orders for production or purchase requests based on production schedules; generates production schedules and prioritizes work orders to ensure production optimization.

  • Adjusts schedules according to work order specifications, material, machines, equipment, and staffing.

  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan, and facilitate on-time materials to the production line and avoid disruptions to production.

  • Evaluates production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes and calculate machine and operator loads.

  • Prepares documentation related to production sequences, transportation, staffing schedules, and purchase, maintenance, and repair orders as necessary.

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate tasks with co-workers in a work unit and/or project.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree required.

5 to 7 years of experience required.

Working knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and costs preferred; knowledge of general manufacturing facility health and safety policies and procedures preferred.

Or equivalent combination of education and experience
