CITY OF OSHKOSH Fleet and Equipment Mechanic in OSHKOSH, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Performance Equipment Repairs: Inspect, repair, recondition and maintain equipment and machinery including, but not limited to, cars, trucks, trailers, tractors, end loaders, excavators, motor graders and refuse collection equipment. Perform Diagnostic Tasks: Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine the most effective means of maintenance, repair or replacement. Perform Record Keeping Tasks: Accurately manage and process electronic work orders. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduate from an accredited Technical College in Automotive, Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanics and three (3) years of experience. EPA 609 Technician Certification is desired. Experience: Five (5) years of experience with progressively advanced training repairing automotive, diesel engines or heavy equipment in lieu of degree.
