  • Ensure all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements are met while on watch.

  • Verify effective operation of the plant including Balance of Plant equipment as needed based on defined procedures.

  • Respond to abnormal conditions in accordance with established processes and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with plant operators, shift supervisors, and managers as required.

  • Communicate with dispatch and transmission operator when required.

  • Complete all required training and qualifications including Safety, Environmental, Regulatory, Plant Simulator, and BOP training.

  • Remain alert and ready to respond during routine and abnormal situations.

  • Available to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Some coverage will be required to fill scheduled and unscheduled time off.

  • Completion of extensive in-house training program to become Control Room Operator qualified.

  • Advanced computer skills are required, including DCS (Ovation) & MS Office Suite with the ability to collect and evaluate data.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent education

  • Basic computer knowledge and three to seven years of operating and/or maintenance experience preferably as a power plant operator or Control Room Operator or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
