MITCHELL COUNTY REGIONAL HEALTH CT EVS Tech Nights Part Time #1253 in Osage, Iowa

Who We Are:

Mitchell County Regional Health Center is in Osage, Iowa located in Mitchell County, which has a population of 10,600 people. MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,300 procedures annually, including specialties General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain management, and Podiatry.

About The Job:


The EVS Tech performs cleaning tasks maintaining the sanitary and integrity of the patient rooms, patient service areas, PHO/hospital departments, and the general PHO campus environment.


The Shift:

Nights:Potential Hours range from 3:00PM-1:30AM.Core hours more than likely 3:00PM-11:30PM.

Monday-Sunday with holidays and weekend rotation.

The Pay:Starts at $14.35 per hour, increases with experience. Also, shift differential pay.

What You Will Do:

  • Cleans and services, e.g., vacuuming, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, replacement of supplies, emptying trash, for patient room daily and at discharge.
  • Cleans and services public restrooms.
  • Cleans and services patient service areas and PHO departmental areas.
  • Assists in the care of the environment and equipment to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Arranges room and furniture in an orderly manner.
  • Fills out a work order on any malfunctioning of equipment, fixtures, etc., or quality concerns with sanitary conditions of environment.

What We Need From You:

  • Able to be on feet continuously.
  • Able to push housekeeping carts and patient care furniture. Handles heavy tasks and lifts up to 20-30 lbs. continuously.
  • Subjected to changing work priorities very frequently.
  • Continuously carry/push/pull/lift objects weighing 10-20 pounds.

Position Qualifications

Education:High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

  • Must be able to plan and organize a workload and be alert to safety hazards.
  • Must be able to follow instructions.
  • Current state Driver's License in good standing and insurable; satisfactory driving record.
  • Able to recognize personal learning needs.
  • Able to work flexible hours.
  • Able to perform repetitious duties and work with frequent interruptions.
