Your Opportunity as the Senior Technician-Frozen Handheld & Spreads Research & Development You will support all Frozen Handheld & Spreads R&D teams with iterative product prototyping, managing lab and Pilot Plant spaces, supporting our Quality and Safety Program, and performing various administrative duties. You will have daily interactions with team members, and you must have the ability to execute a broad range of technical tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Location: Orrville, OH Corporate Offices In this role you will: Scale and batch formulas in lab and pilot plant spaces Perform analytical testing for lab and pilot plant batches Be the Area Owner of R&D spaces by being the single point of contact for any issues or concerns Cleaning, stocking, organizing, and managing maintenance Use various systems of information for completing work: inventory management system, Electronic Lab Notebook interface, SharePoint, and others Work with Quality and Safety Program owners to manage the application of R&D's programs in the lab and Pilot Plant spaces Perform established procedures and pilot plant work as directed with minimal supervision and identify ways to improve methods Support sanitation in lab and pilot plant spaces Perform various administrative activities such as shipping packages The Right Place for You We are bold, kind, strive to do the right thing, we play to win, and we believe in a strong community that thrives together. What we are looking for: Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or Vocational Diploma 2+ years experience in a lab or pilot plant, preferably within R&D or QA Shows mathematical aptitude Comfortable working with computers and proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel) Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and capacity to multitask efficiently Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work in a team environment Ability to take direction from and interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization Responds well to changing priorities Strong time management skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand for all work hours Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role: AA/AS in Science/Technology and 3 years laboratory experience or undergraduate degree (B.A. or B.S.)
