Your Opportunity as Business Development Manager-National Accounts K12 - Away from Home Sales In this role you will have the responsible for delivering top line sales and bottom-line profit targets for K12 customers by increasing penetration with current K12 customers and acquiring new K12 customers, focusing on the top 200. You will be heavily focused on business development and will identify and pursue profitable growth opportunities. Location: Working Remotely within the Continental Unites States (within 1 hour of major airport, up to 50% expected travel) In this role you will: Build, manage, and deliver results against incremental growth opportunities within the K12 Segment Responsible for achieving financial results (acquire, penetrate, retain) Build and maintain relationships within key existing K12 customers (penetration) and new customer locations (acquisition) Develop customer-specific business development plans within your book of business. Develop and execute strategies to drive brand and category growth to exceed sales and profit goals. Manage and Grow USDA Foods Inventory within identified markets. Coordinate with Field Sales management for in-market execution against high priority initiatives as needed. Identify growth opportunities within key K12 Scope and lead efforts to commercialize through the JM Smucker Away from Home organization. Business Planning and Analyses: Manage Broker partner relationship, communicate strategic direction and hold accountable. Analyze business to discover new ways to penetrate existing and acquire new K12 business, i.e.: Whitespace campaigns, promotions, etc. Work cross-functionally internally to gain marketing & finance support to achieve goals. Own Annual Joint Business Planning, Quarterly Business Reviews, Customer Events/Shows, and other identified meetings. Accelerate Team Performance: Drive business planning and activation process working closely with cross-functional business partners such as Revenue Growth Management, Research & Development, Finance, Legal, Marketing, etc. Receive direction from people manager (National Account Executive) on opportunities to improve key customer performance. Participate in assigned projects. Drive strategic partnership and long-term focus with internal and external stakeholders. Provide K12 insights as needed to internal teams. What we are looking for: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree Experience calling on K12 Segment and/or directing K12 business; crafting and fostering top-to-top relationships across majorindustry and supply chain customers. Understanding of the K-12 Supply chain customers' needs and opportunities. Knowledge and proven success in working with USDA Foods Experience working collaboratively with cross functional teams to drive business results. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills Demonstrate understanding of customer strategies.
