Your Opportunity as the Associate Lead, Category Leadership - Coffee Strategy The primary responsibility of this position is to lead in the development of key components of JM Smucker's Category Leadership capabilities for the coffee category to deliver Smucker & Category business results. Leads in the development of Category specific or retail-oriented insights and Category Leadership materials across multiple functions. The position is expected to be the go-to category expert, responsible for providing in-depth category, retail, consumer and shopper expertise. Location: Working Remote USA In this role you will: Develops & Elevates Category Leadership Strategic Plans Leads, develops and updates Category Growth Drivers - Strategy, Initiatives and Category Leadership content of compelling category strategies and stories to drive category future growth potential Leads 4P Guiding Principles Provides thought leadership to elevate JMS voice and influence Actively engages in consumer, shopper and category insight workstreams to identify opportunities and deliver fact-based strategic selling through activation Collaborates and influences across the JMS internal organization (portfolio optimization, brand planning, innovation pipeline, etc) Develops retail-oriented insights and analytics Leverages available data and insight resources to identify and create new insights and category opportunities Supports and drives omni activation and integration into all category deliverables, workstreams Provides category and key customer business analytics Identifies requirements for tool development and data support systems to increase visibility and application of key category insights Customer & Customer Team Engagement Participates with sales and field category leadership teams on top customer calls as category expert and solution and initiative development to drive the Category & Smucker business Provide category consultation at internal and external meetings to provide context, direction, and guidance regarding potential actions Brings back retailer and field team category learnings to Marketing and cross functional business areas The Right Place for You We are bold, kind, strive to do the right thing, we play to win, and we believe in a strong community that thrives together. What we are looking for: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree 5+ years in Consumer-Packaged Goods industry 3+ years of Shopper Insights or Category Management experience Experience building relationships within customers / retailers Experience in analysis of shopper / consumer-based CPG information Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and storytelling experience Proficient in leveraging IRI, Nielsen data POS and panel data, shopper card plus Planogramming/Planogram software experience (Ex.
