NBC Universal Systems Engineer – Endpoint Management in Orlando, Florida

JOB SUMMARY: The Systems Engineer assists with the creation of and performs implementation for the architecture, engineering, and operations of various enterprise technologies including endpoint management platforms; group policy; hardware review and selection for various application use cases; process reengineering to automate and optimize enterprise processes and workflows. Additionally, this role provides advanced troubleshooting in a third level capacity for systems architected by the Enterprise Endpoint Management and IT Security teams.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform third level support and advanced troubleshooting functions, documenting and resolving issues, and collaborate with appropriate teams on long-term resolution of said issues.
Assist in development of strategy and engineering solutions for enterprise technology architecture across technologies and platforms. Enable business goals in partnership with technology and business stakeholders.
Develop, test, and implement configuration management strategy and policy for client endpoint devices.
Perform endpoint device patching inclusive of both Microsoft updates in addition to third-party applications utilizing scripting as well as enterprise-level patch management tools.
Work with other UDX technology teams in bringing their applications into endpoint management systems. Assist IT Security and Cyber teams with performing vulnerability management.
Hardware and vendor evaluations, and new capability development/testing
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED is required.
Associate degree (AA), Technical school degree, or Bachelor’s degree (BA) in technical field is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
3+ years working experience in a technical field involving troubleshooting, integrating, and/or automating applications or 5+ years working experience in an advanced Service Desk role.
1+ years of experience in theme parks or hospitality preferred.
