Lockheed Martin Sustainment Engineer Asc -Level 1 in Orlando, Florida

Description: We are Lockheed Martin

It takes more than steel, advanced electronics and engine thrust to make the F-35 Lightning II, the world's fifth generation fighter, take flight. It is the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS)/Operational Data Integrated Network (ODIN) systems that give F-35 Lightning II operators the ability to plan ahead, to maintain, to plan and sustain its systems over the life of the air vehicle. ALIS/ODIN provides the IT backbone and capabilities to support current and future Warfighters across the U.S. and allied military services.

Reporting to the F-35 ALIS/ODIN Technology Management and Logistics Manager, the selected candidate will serve as a Sustainment Engineer Asc within the Hybrid Product Support Integrator (HPSI) organization. This position will support the sustainment of F-35 locations worldwide – both foreign and domestic.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the entire lifecycle of fielding and sustaining new and existing ALIS/ODIN hardware. This role will include but not be limited to:

• Creating trade studies

• Preparing white papers

• Working in a team environment to help select new product design

• Create/update existing documentation (ALIS/ODIN baseline)

• Participate in daily, weekly, and quarterly briefings within the team.

This position will include "hands on" work with the equipment along with personal interaction with field staff, management, and at times the government customer. This is a fast paced position and will require a high level of attention to detail.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

• General hardware engineering practices.

• Ability to collaborate and integrate high performance multi-functional teams

• Great verbal & written communication skills

Desired Skills:

Sustainment Engineering Experience related to Technology Management

• Knowledge of JSF F-35 Autonomic Logistic Information System (ALIS)/Operational Data Integrated Network (ODIN) Systems

• Self-starter who identifies problems, determines, and acts on courses of action, and escalates to leadership when help, direction or approval needed

• Basic knowledge on servers, workstations, firewalls, and firmware

• Basic experience with engineering lifecycle

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
