Actalent SUE/Survey Technician in Orlando, Florida

Job Description:

Our client is currently looking for a hard working and career driven individuals to join their survey and subsurface utility engineering field crews. Their primary responsibility is to assist the Crew Chief in completing the crew's assigned field survey or utility locating projects. This person will start in the SUE department, using underground utility locating equipment and then digging test holes to measure the depth of the underground utilities. This person will be required to perform heavy physical labor, including digging of test holes, operation of Vac Truck Equipment, jackhammer, pogo-tamper, concrete saw, compressor blower, vacuum hose, air lance, utility locating equipment, and performing daily basic maintenance on equipment. They will be cross-trained in surveying and will have the opportunity to support survey crews when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool education or GED

  • Must be able and willing to perform heavy labor.

  • Ability to work outside in extreme heat and weather.

  • Valid drivers license and ability to pass an MVR check.

  • Travel required, possibly extensive travel up to 5 days during the week.

  • Overtime required, as needed.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

  • Previous Utility locating or survey experience is a plus.
