Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. Structural Engineer - Wireless in Orlando, Florida

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is seeking a STRUCTURAL ENGINEER with up to 6 years of experience, ideally in the wireless/telecommunications field, for our office in Orlando, Florida. The employee in this position will primarily work on an ever-changing mix of wireless projects, which could include telecommunication facilities (towers, water tanks, buildings/rooftops, foundations and antenna mounts). In addition, the candidate may work on a variety of non-wireless structures, including design of retaining walls, bridges, and other miscellaneous structures. Outstanding oral and written communication skills are essential, as the employee will be responsible for discussing and implementing various analysis concepts and preparing technical reports and construction drawings. Responsibilities will include CAD drafting and may include occasional travel for engineering inspections and mappings. Candidates must be capable of completing assigned work while maintaining an elevated level of quality, accuracy, and efficiency.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Master's degree preferred

  • E.I.T. certification and/or a Professional Engineering license is preferred (although not required)

  • Past experience with structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, and wood structures

  • Experience and proficiency working in the RISA Suite (including RISA-3D, RISA Foundation, and RISA Connection)

  • Experience with tnxTower, Enercalc, L-Pile, Excel and AutoCAD are a plus

  • Desire to review, redline, and coach other engineers and designers work product to ensure accurate engineering deliverables

  • Aspiration to serve as the Engineer of Record on products as appropriate

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
