Marriott Vacations Worldwide Sr. Manager, Procurement - Technology Sourcing in Orlando, Florida

Specific Job Summary (describe the nature and purpose of the position)

The Sr. Manager Strategic Sourcing - Technology is a member of the Corporate Procurement team reporting to the AVP, Strategic Sourcing – IT and Professional Services. They will support the Technology category where responsibilities will primarily include, but not limited to, Hardware, Software, and Telecom. This position may also support other procurement activities per business needs. They will support development and implementation of procurement strategies that deliver a competitive advantage, savings, and service level assurance.

Specific Expected Contributions (including duties and responsibilities)

  • Responsible for sourcing Technology (Hardware, Software & Telecom) spend across the enterprise.

  • Participate in development,definition, and implementationof sourcing strategies, including supplier selection for area of responsibility to ensure business needs are met.

  • Conduct research and analyze supply marketplace, maintain working knowledge of business trends including global industry issues, cost drivers, global pricing, and market conditions.

  • Participate in building a robust annual productivity pipeline that supports the aligned business strategy and delivers annual Year Over Year (YoY) savings through, but not limited to, category bids, supplier development, and internal business needs and goals.

  • Conduct regular supplier business reviews with strategic suppliers that include supplier performance reviews, pricing, product availability, business growth strategies and supply market changes.

  • Operational activities of supplier management include communicating and resolving issues between internal business partners and suppliers, leading cross-functional team calls to cover open issues, actively working/monitoring quality, and performance issues as well as any special projects or requests.

  • Negotiate commercial terms such as pricing and service levels tooptimize the Total Cost of Ownership.

  • Identify new and/or alternate sources of supply.

  • Manage and execute regular RFI/RFP processes to drive competition.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to effectively drive accurate performance measures, ensure compliance of scope to contracts, and standardized processes that enable consistency and accountability of deliverables.

  • Work with business stakeholders on compliance to preferred suppliers and supply programs.

  • Responsible for upkeep of relevant materials to support properties in optimal buying decisions.

Specific Candidate Profile (the education, experience, skills, and attributes that are important for this position)

  • BS/BA in Supply Chain, Economics, Finance or Business Administration

  • 5+ years of combined sourcing/procurement/supply chain experience and/or functional experience in the assigned category

  • Relevant sourcing or procurementexperience ina fast paced and dynamic resort operations environment

  • Technology experience, either in a Sourcing/Procurement role or within the business

  • Experience utilizing relevant procurement technologies (e.g.,Spend Analytics, eSourcing, VMS, etc.)

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.

  • Strong analytical mindset, with a data-first approach to problem-solving

  • Strong attention to detail
