NBC Universal Sr. Analyst, Global Strategy in Orlando, Florida

JOB SUMMARY: Evaluate consumer, competitive, cross-department, and market trend data to strategically plan, optimize, and expand the business. Ideal candidate will have a strong acumen for storytelling, analytics, strategic recommendations, and problem-solving skills.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Analytics

  • Build demand analyses / models and business cases to evaluate strategic scenarios and the associated impact, whether financial or otherwise

  • Continually leverage business intelligence tools to track strategic KPIs across parks and departments to aid in strategic decisions

  • Clearly display data visualization to convey a point

  • Manage timelines and communications, while identifying risks / roadblocks, for multiple projects at one time to meet deliverable dates

  • Create efficiencies in ongoing reporting to inform leadership of key leading indicators

  • Corporate Strategy

  • Stay ahead of new and innovative information available globally to quantify competitive intelligence, trends, opportunities, and threats in the theme park industry, economic space, and leisure travel

  • Collaborate cross-functionally and within the team to identify, research, and assess emerging growth opportunities in the mid- to long-term

  • Market Intelligence

  • Explore and monitor market & segment opportunities, competitive threats, leisure travel industry trends, M&S strategies in other global organizations, and internal leading indicators

  • Identify opportunities to enable better productivity across parks and teams with subscriptions and tools to assist with strategic planning Support vendor management function to ensure optimal mix of capabilities, price and communication

  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required – Economics, Finance, Business, Political Science, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Psychology, or related field.

EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of post-undergraduate experience preferably in support of the consumer entertainment, travel or amusement park industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Experience with Microsoft office (Excel, Power Point) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.)

  • Ability to clearly communicate with stake holders across the organization

  • Curious, creative, and open-minded with broad interest in travel and leisure industry

  • Demonstrated cross-functional knowledge in diverse fields such as marketing, strategy, finance, operations, etc. and with skills as far ranging as market demand modeling, ROI analysis, competitive risk assessments and scenario planning

  • Ability to partner internationally and willingness to learn the culture and unique differences of each park

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills; proactive, adaptable, and collaborative

  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Strong sense of project ownership and dedication to delivering outstanding results
