We are looking for a highly motivated sales professional to lead commercial activities related to the sale of onshore wind energy service products (long term service contacts, advanced maintenance, wind farm improvements, etc.). The successful candidate’s region will include customers located in the southwest region of the U.S. Successful candidates will have the ability to execute the complete sales process including the management of proposal generation, internal coordination and approvals, strategy development, customer relationship management and contract negotiation. This is a client facing position wherein a candidate will represent Siemens Gamesa for all service-related account / commercial activities. Positive, persistent, self-motivated and action-oriented candidates with demonstrated transaction experience are required.
Customer Relationship Development
Customer relationship development (Identify new customers and develop existing ones)
Serve as primary contact with customer for service-related opportunities, and build long-term and trustworthy relationships with customers, especially with key decision makers
Gather market and customer information and derive strategies for identification and development of new opportunities
Develop and Communicate Siemens Gamesa Offerings
Develop and communicate Siemens Gamesa value to customers
Primary responsibility for the development and communication of Siemens Gamesa service products to assigned customers
Support customers with technical and commercial data on Siemens Gamesa offerings, including presentations, indicative offers etc. with involvement from operations and category management, as needed
Customer interface on behalf of the Siemens Gamesa service business throughout bid and negotiation phase
Understand customer business strategy, organization, key decision-makers and key project drivers
Convey “Voice of the Customer” internally in the organization
Manage opportunity pipeline and identify new leads and opportunities for assigned customers.
Maintain updated and accurate customer and opportunity information in Salesforce.
Assume primary responsibility for obtaining requisite internal approvals and presenting new opportunities internally at an executive level.
Cooperate with other Siemens Gamesa business units, such as Onshore new unit sales, to support the capture of new greenfield projects.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
8+ years of power generation sales experience in a customer-facing role. Wind industry experience is a plus.
Strong communication & negotiation skills. Team-player mind set. Strong quality & organization orientation. Demonstrates initiative and result oriented.
Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.
Up to 35% travel post-COVID
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- 8+ years of Wind Power experience with an OEM, Utility, IPP or Developer
