Delaware North Sales Manager, Courtyard at Kennedy in Orlando, Florida

The Opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring for a Sales Manager to join our team at Courtyard at Kennedy in Titusville, Florida. In this Sales Manager role, you will develop key relationships with group leaders and contacts at this 152 room property to continue to improve the guest experience and increase revenue for rooms and events.

Located on the water with perfect viewing of launches from Kennedy Space Center, this Courtyard Hotel was opened in 2022 and offers B2B clients over 6,000 square feet of combined meeting and event space including our rooftop Space Bar and waterfront turf patio.

If you have a passion for cultivating relationships with some high profile clients, are experienced in business travel with a track record of delivering on events to delight our guests, this is an excellent opportunity with a base salary plus quarterly incentives tied to revenue results.

This role is hybrid and can be based as far as Orlando, with the ability to be on-site around twice per month.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $46100 - $62200 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with meeting planners, corporate contacts, and local businesses to meet department and property revenue goals.

  • Secure catering event bookings by maintaining regular contact with clients and guests at the property.

  • Prepare and execute catering contracts and ensure quality products and service is delivered.

  • Produce budget proposals to meet sales department goals.

  • Maintain positive client and guest relations and be their point of contact for event inquiries.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in group hotel sales required.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and deliver deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to problem-solve and operate in a fast-paced environment.

  • Available for business travel about 5 percent of the time, which may include evenings and weekends.

  • Knowledge of Marriott systems preferred: including CI/TY or SFAWeb.

  • Knowledge of Business Travel, Corporate, and SMERF segments a plus.
