Overview
Assist the Purchasing Manager with the acceptance of all purchased products into the hotel. Issue and deliver items to departments in accordance with the requeisiton policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Accepts all purchased products into the hotel, verifying accuracy of delivery to purchase orders.
Maintains storeroom in accordance with standards and rotates stock accordingly.
Transportation and deliveries of heavy goods to departments in accordance with the requisition policies and procedures.
Receive end users product issue requests and fill orders accordingly.
Conducts Inventories.
Receive all incoming packages, keep logbook on all incoming and outgoing packages.
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned to adhere to health standards.
Assist in filling requisitions to authorize outlets so all stock will be complete at each outlet and advises supervisor of items that are low or out-of-stcok so they can be ordered.
Monitor the grades and quality of products received to ensure that they meet the hotel's established standards.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned by supervisor and manager
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Hotel experience preferred.
Food & beverage knowledge preferred.
Basic mathematical and computer skills to order items and track deliveries.
Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks.
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
Physical Requirements:
Must be physically bale to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 100lbs and push carts ranging from 200lbs - 500lbs.
