THE WORK

As the Subcontracts Manager Team Lead at Lockheed Martin, you'll lead a team of subcontract managers and administrators, guiding them in the execution of Maritime and Land Training Solution programs. You'll also play a crucial role within the Maritime and Land Training Solutions senior leadership team, providing direct support to the executive leader and collaborating with other functions to ensure program success. Responsibilities will include:

1.Team Leadership:

•Lead and mentor a team of subcontract managers and administrators, fostering a high-performance culture focused on program excellence and innovation.

•Provide strategic guidance and direction to achieve program objectives, emphasizing quality, budget adherence, schedule compliance, and earned value management.

2.Strategic Sourcing and Management:

•Develop and implement sourcing and commodity strategies tailored to Maritime and Land Training Solutions programs, optimizing infrastructure and sustainment activities.

•Oversee procurement activities encompassing RFP and RFI processes, source selections, negotiations, contract awards, and post-award management, ensuring alignment with program requirements and objectives.

3.Contract Oversight:

•Evaluate, negotiate, and manage assigned subcontracts to meet program specifications, quality standards, budgetary constraints, and scheduling milestones.

•Ensure timely delivery of hardware, services, SDRLs (Subcontract Data Requirements Lists), and other deliverables essential for fulfilling subcontract obligations.

•Monitor subcontractor performance and address any deviations from contractual requirements promptly and effectively.

You have a proven track record of success in developing and executing sourcing and commodity strategies, infrastructure development, and sustainment activities for Maritime and Land Training Solution programs. Your expertise in managing procurement groups, leading RFP and RFI activities, and driving negotiations and contract closeouts will be critical to your success in this role.

Basic Qualifications:

- Experience in Subcontract Management, Program Management or Project Management, specifically experience with the deployment of material and logistics strategies.

- Experience required in proposal development with development and/or production programs.

- Working knowledge of standard contract types.

- Experience developing long-term strategies and tactical plans to achieve enterprise objectives.

- Past experience Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), government regulations.

Desired Skills:

- Previous RMS Supply Chain experience

- IMS/EVMS experience

- Strong negotiation skills

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Previous leadership experience

- LMAP and P2P experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
