Position Summary:

The Operations Supervisor position is responsible for both Delivery and Warehouse operations. This position will supervise the day-to-day activities of the delivery department along with responsibilities over warehouse inventory, receiving, slotting, replenishment and order selecting.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Supervises daily delivery operations, planning and scheduling manpower

  • Assigns drivers and vehicles to convey freight

  • Coordinates drivers according to customer requests in compliance with DOT regulations and company rules

  • Communicates with customers to determine driver needs and schedules and notifies drivers of assignments and enters assignment data in computer database

  • Ensures quality standards and productivity standards are achieved with safety being a priority.

  • Responsible for Warehouse productivity tracking, to meet customer schedules and maximize operational efficiency

  • Assists with various transportation/warehouse duties related to DOT regulations, OSHA, fleet operations, and scheduling

  • Coaches and leads the Warehouse team to increase productivity and provide high-quality customer service

  • Ensures completion and proper execution of work procedures

  • Accountable for all inventory functions

  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Associates degree and 3-4 years of related experience in warehouse, transportation, purchasing, inventory controls, customer service, sales or similar supply chain department including 1 year of people leadership experience; or High School Diploma and 5+ years of related experience including 2+ years of people leadership experience

  • Must be available to work any hours, days, or any shift

  • Strong communication (written and oral) and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Able to safely use various warehouse equipment, including a forklift

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • College Degree or equivalent

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
