Lockheed Martin Operations & Program Excellence Manager in Orlando, Florida

Description: Operations & Performance Excellence Manager on the TLS Operations Senior Leadership team supporting the operations in Orlando, Tijuana, Fort Worth & San Diego

Responsibilities Include:

- Manage & Lead top level OET strategy, planning & execution across TLS. OETs are the foundation of our factories performance and culture & this role will manage the OET leads to align the culture & strategy across our operations. This includes – reviewing & approving all team savings business cases, monthly scoring teams, setting up recognition events, working improvement initiatives & providing coaching & guidance to OET leads.

- Develop & create a standardized strategy for TLS Production Operations proposals/BOEs to align to growth, affordability & long term factory manufacturing scope. Aligning touch, support & NRE BOEs to longer term affordability initiatives.

- Lead a team of IEs focused on HPU reduction, lean manufacturing and Operations Excellence; drive a focus on preventative problem resolutions vs. heroics.

- Lead the TLS Ops technology roadmap driving the factory of the future through project identification, development and implementation of technology insertions and replications.

- Lead key proposals & captures for the TLS Prod Ops manufacturing scope.

- Lead a team of software engineers dedicated to driving factory automation & improvements

- Lead TLS Ops Data Analytics Strategy and team

- Oversee the EV alignment of our 2B portfolio to manage performance gaps & lead RTG plans across the portfolio. This role will work directly with the Operations Program Managers to identify & mitigate all EV trends & risks and ensure synchrony across the portfolio for resolution.

- Consolidate Risk & Opportunity management across all manufacturing operations.

- TLS POC for Value Added Base initiatives, EAC giveback & RMS continuous improvement initiatives.

- Lead the internal business rhythm for key leadership engagement – MOR, OET Highlights, Proposal Overview, staffing, TLS Program Performance etc.

Basic Qualifications:

- Proven leader of a multi-functional team

- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles

- Project/Program management with strong organizational skills

- Experienced in process development and continuous improvement - will have excellent communication skills and to be able to operate autonomously with minimal direction

- Experience in design for manufacturing / assembly and design to cost

- Ability to lead and influence teams across multiple locations

Desired Skills:

- Cost Account Manager (CAM)

- Ability to attract, develop and retain high - potential performers

- Set a clear functional strategy as part of the operations senior leadership team

- Lean / Six Sigma Green or Belt Belt

- Ability to utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement

- Experience with manufacturing automation concepts and implementation 

- Experience with manufacturing simulation / modeling tools

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
