VETERAN'S PREFERENCE

Job Summary:Functions as hardware/software site lead of a multi-platform, multi-OS, multi-network environment.

Essential Job Functions:Performs IT and network configuration support activities for military exercise planning, training, and execution related to live, virtual and constructive simulation systems and technologies. Plans and supports required/requested system related upgrades, resolves hardware, software and networking problems using approved system administration tools and practices, works with system OEMs to resolve system issues and challenges. Maintains and implements security patches, software and hardware. Documents required system administration tasks to meet information assurance accreditation and security standards. Prepares technical reports and related documentation and provides management updates on information technology concerns within the organization. Performs system backups and recovery as required. Prepares and delivers presentations and briefings.

Required Skills: Excellent communications skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Required Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering or related discipline from an accredited university or college and 4-year specialized experience in computer system administration. AA or Vocational School degree in a related field and 8 years' experience related to the functions described in the job description may be substituted for a bachelors degree.

Other Requirements:Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a TOP SECRET security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
