Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detailed oriented mechanic with general mechanic skill on trailers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, including proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various trailer components. This mechanic would be responsible for conducting basic maintenance on trailers to ensure compliance with safety regulations, identifying and addressing mechanical issues and maintaining detailed inspection reports.

This position will support our Event & Exhibit Services team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show site based out of Atlanta, GA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Inspections: Perform thorough inspections on trailers in compliance with DOT regulations to ensure road worthiness and safety.

  • Diagnose and Repair: Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical and structural issue in trailers and execute timely and effective repairs to ensure optimal functionality.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitate accurate reporting.

  • Quality Assurance: Uphold high quality standards in all maintenance and repair tasks ensuring that trailers meet safety and performance criteria.

  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members including drivers and fleet managers to address maintenance and concerns promptly and efficiently.

  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all maintenance and repair activities to create a secure working environment.

  • Tools and equipment maintenance: Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment used in trailer inspections and repairs.

  • Training: Stay informed about emerging technologies and attend relevant training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in trailer maintenance and inspection procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
