NBC Universal Manager, Global Development in Orlando, Florida

Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY:

This role will provide strategic and analytical support for UDX domestic and international New Venture activities as well as support growth and strategic decision making for the Location Based Entertainment division. In addition, the role will support the execution of business development activities and initiatives at existing domestic and international UDX properties and venues. This individual will be responsible for complex and comprehensive financial modeling of new business ventures, investment decision support analysis, agreement and contract negotiation support, deal-term analysis, and due diligence support.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • New Ventures Development and expansion support.

  • Structure and execute sophisticated financial analyses and models, including deal forecasting, deal term analyses, and ROI & risk analyses, to evaluate the impacts of potential strategies, partnerships, new ventures, leases, licenses, debt financing, and real estate transactions.

  • Conduct research and statistical analysis for strategic initiatives.

  • Analysis of competitive environment, industry trends, and market sizing.

  • Support real estate site selection, evaluation, diligence, negotiation, and transaction documentation activities.

  • Develop business plans for new business opportunities, including project workplans, proforma P&Ls, timelines/milestones.

  • Preparation of presentations to effectively communicate analyses, findings, and recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Domestic and International Business Development and expansion support. Perform modeling and decision support analysis for: capital expansion projects, partnership formation/controlling documents, debt financing, license agreements, leases, and real estate transactions. Scope to include: IRR models, debt vs. equity decisions analysis, contract/agreement review and analysis.

  • Support the Live Entertainment business’s ongoing financial analysis and strategic insight including prospective deal analysis, understating industry trends, and providing variance analysis.

  • Prepare strategy presentations and to President, LBE and President of New Business Ventures

  • Conduct other research of complex business topics, industry and economic trends, and business transactions as necessary. Assist in documenting and developing presentations of findings to department leadership.

  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, or other related field is required. Master’s degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years’ experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, decision support analysis, financial modeling, and contract/agreement review is required.

  • Experience in a tourism, entertainment, or an adjacent industry is a plus.

  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.
