UNIVERSAL ORLANDO Lead Audio/Video/Projection Maintenance Technician in ORLANDO, Florida

Requirements:High school degree or GED is required. Preferred - Bachelor of Arts or Science in Technical Production for Theater or Equivalent. EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years: Experience in troubleshooting and repair of complex analog/digital lighting equipment/control systems including dimmers, relays, fixtures; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Programming experience with ETC systems preferred. Knowledge on various console and PC based control systems. Understand signal flow and implementation of protocol DMX E1.11, Entertainment Technology USITT DMX512-A Asynchronous Serial Digital Data Transmission Standard for Controlling Lighting Equipment Accessories Preferred experience in theme park industry. ETCP Certified with verifiable experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities:Plans and delegates work tasks. Delegates work assignments among qualified crewmembers. Communicates performance expectations in an effort to ensure proper completion of tasks; provides feedback for recognition and performance improvement. Actively reinforces company safety guidelines and programs; reports non-compliance. Monitors employees productivity and work habits. Leads work startup and stoppage, schedule breaks. Monitors care, condition, use and storage of tools, equipment and other UO property. Maintains material inventories. Monitors compliance with wardrobe/grooming standards, driving policy, radio usage and other UO policies. Ensures proper completion of documentation. Captures written behaviors using the Lead Observation Report to support managerial and supervisory documentation. Communicates and coordinates with other departments or crafts as needed. Communicates resource needs and work plans to Supervision. Provides two-way communication between work team, supervisors and other management and HR personnel. Performs job duties as described in non-lead job descriptions for Show Systems Lighting Control. Responds to Ride and Show venue work requests and concerns. Provides input and entry into the CMMS system. Maintains and shares job knowledge. Assists with training new and current employees. Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health and Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
