NBC Universal Internship – Project Management, Asset Management Programs (Summer 2025) in Orlando, Florida

Universal Destinations & Experiences Internship Program:

    JOB SUMMARY:

This project management intern will assist with all efforts surrounding project scheduling, closeout activities, and vendor management on existing and new projects. Field work will expose the intern to the way that the team impacts the guest and Team Member experience. Through shadowing members of the team, the intern will have a true impact on the technical design process, the fabrication of elements of the project, and the closeout and turnover process.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists the project management group with pre-project planning efforts, developing the overall project schedule, and supporting the closeout activities on group construction projects.

  • Creates, updates, and maintains vendor closeout issues.

  • Supports the Project Management group through field observations within Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Florida, and back-of-house locations.

  • Attends regular meetings with various partners including but not limited to facility design, fabrication teams, and technical teams.

  • Assists with the management of technical design processes.

  • Reviews blueprints and detailed project schedules, estimates, and budgets.

  • Assists with the rehabilitations or renovations of existing building projects.

  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION:

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.

  • Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.

  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.

  • An official transcript may be required upon request.

  • Preferred majors include: Business Management, Construction Management.

  • Preferred coursework: Finance Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:

  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.

  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.

  • Consistent attendance.

  • This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.

  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than August 2025.

  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
