Lockheed Martin Inspector Machined Parts Sr / 1st Shift/ Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

Description: Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is looking to hire and Inspector Machined Parts Sr. in Orlando, FL.

This inspection position supports the Engineering Prototype Lab (EPL). This role requires CMM experience and the ability to program CMMs from models and engineering drawings.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

-Inspecting machined or partially machined parts, using predetermined methods and sequences to ensure compliance with customer and company specifications and quality requirements.

-Devising setups to measure the accuracy of compound angles, exacting tolerances, and numerous dimensions.

-Working from drawings, sketches, and specification.

-Analyzing defective parts to determine cause of defect and recommends corrective action.

In addition, the candidate:

-May determine method and sequences necessary to perform inspections.

-May inspect first run and production parts where standard checking devices are not available and special inspection tools and layouts are required.

-May improvise or adapt inspection measuring instruments as needed.

-May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

This role typically requires considerable knowledge of machining operation and some experience inspecting hardware prior to production.

Basic Qualifications:

-Familiarity with production planning/specifications, drawing/blueprint reading, and use of calibrated inspection

equipment.

-Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to

obtain security clearance.

-CMM experience

-Knowledge of GD&T

-Ability to work with limited supervision

Desired Skills:

-Knowledge and experience with SAP

-Defect Documentation

-Inspection experience

-Production experience a plus

-CMM Programming experience-Zeiss/Calypso

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
