Responsibilities

  • Completing preventive maintenance to keep machinery and equipment in good working order.

  • Observing mechanical devices in operation to locate sources of problems.

  • Dismantling machinery and replacing any defective parts as required.

  • Inspecting and measuring various instruments to determine changes in parts requirements.

  • Checking stock and placing orders for equipment parts and supplies to maintain inventories.

  • Providing training on routine preventive maintenance to production workers.

  • Answering questions and requests related to mechanical maintenance information.

  • Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends to prepare maintenance reports.

  • Complying with procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working in a smoke free environment

  • working in a non-temperature controlled environment

  • manual lifting up to 50lbs

  • standing for 8 hours at one time

  • working weekends
