REQUIREMENTSDoctoral degree from a Counselor Education program, preferably a CACREP accredited program from a regionally accredited institution, or a doctoral degree in a related field (e.g., Counseling Psychology, clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or Educational Leadership) AND to have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for at least a full academic year BEFORE July 1, 2013.At least three (3) years of professional experience.Able to submit copy of academic transcripts, licenses, and/or certifications (for application purposes). If hired, must submit official transcripts.Experience utilizing the LMS Canvas, preferably.Experience teaching and developing online courses.Working knowledge of CACREP Standards, preferably.Proven leadership skills from previous work experiences.Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English (oral and written).Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.Knowledge and experience in technical applications.Should be licensed and certified in the area of specialty.DESCRIPTIONWe are currently looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Full-time Faculty- Master of Science in Counselling with Specialization in Mental Health. Ideal candidate will plan, organize, and teach in a manner that ensures the achievement of the institution’s learning objectives.A full-time faculty member is responsible for teaching in the subject area or areas that correspond to his or her area of specialty. As part of the job, it is expected that he or she can plan, organize, and teach in a manner that insures the achievement of the institution’s learning objectives. A full-time faculty member contributes to the academic process of the institution through the participation in the development of curriculums, assessment, research, community service, advancement of the institution, and the academic growth of the students.•Facilitate courses of up to fifteen (15) credits per semester in your area of specialty.•Dedicate at least four (4) hours per week to office work to complete other responsibilities and administrative tasks.•Facilitate the learning experiences in compliance with the syllabi approved by your department or academic unit.•Use effective and innovative methods, techniques, and strategies in the process of teaching and the learning of the adult student.•Dedicate four (4) hours per week to academic mentoring.•Explain the grading system that is used throughout the course and how the students’ efforts are to be evaluated in accordance with the university’s expectations.•Use periodic reports to keep students informed about their academic progress in their courses.•Make effective decisions to resolve situations in the classroom that ensure the compliance of the policies and procedures established by the university.•Provide academic guidance in your area of specialty.•Provide assistance to students in the process of selecting courses and/or in the preparation of students’ programs of study.•Collaborate with the Campus in the evaluation of transcripts during the registration process.•Collaborate with the Campus in the dissemination of current information about student services available through the institution.•Stay current in your area of specialty.•Participate in all the professional development workshops required by the institution to improve skills, knowledge, and investigative practices for the purpose of raising the academic performance of the students.•Participate in and contribute to the development of curriculums through the planning, development, and evaluation of courses and of new and existing curriculums.•Collaborate and prepare proposals that recommend changes in the curriculum, in the development of new programs, and in valuation techniques to be incorporated in each of the campus’s course offerings based on current investigations in your area of specialty.•Participate in the development, revision, and evaluation process of syllabi and course content in your area of specialty.•Participate in meetings, committees, and other Campus and institution activities.•Collaborate in the process of recruiting new faculty members (evaluation), as needed.PROCESSIf you are qualified and interested in becoming part of Ana G.
