American Homes 4 Rent Field Technician Maintenance -Palm Bay/Melbourne in Orlando, Florida

The Field Technician Maintenance performs a wide variety of duties including repairs, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance at AMH properties. This position helps to preserve the functionality and condition of the homes while maintaining a clean and safe work environment and providing excellent customer service. This position frequently meets with vendors and tenants.

Responsibilities:

  • Updates and completes mobile work orders received from the maintenance center; completes all work orders within the given timeframe to ensure tenant satisfaction.

  • Performs troubleshooting support for plumbing, garage door, irrigation and electrical issues unclogs drains, repairs.

  • Performs various home repairs.

    Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED strongly preferred.

  • Valid Driver’s license required.

  • Universal EPA Certification or HVAC Type II Certification required in applicable states.

  • 5 years of relative Residential/Property Maintenance or related experience required.

  • Experience includes:

  • basic hand tools

  • power tools

  • General home maintenance / repairs

  • HVAC experience recommended.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) recommended.

  • Experience using an Apple iPad preferred.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of occupational hazards and safety methods (OSHA) required.

  • Technical training certification desired in plumbing, electrical and general maintenance.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, time management and problem-solving skills.
