Siemens Energy Field Service Training and Education Specialist in Orlando, Florida

A Snapshot of Your Day

The Field Service Training and Education Specialist leads efforts to train and develop Field Engineers and Project Managers for Siemens Energy Region North America (RNA). This position is crucial to Field Service operations delivering on Safety, Quality and Readiness for our customers!

You will report to the Director, Outage Controls and Support group and be based in Orlando, FL. Your time will be split 80/20 between office work and jobsite visits, or visits to other Siemens Energy facilities in RNA.

This role will liaise with regional and international colleagues across multiple disciplines to develop and deliver both just in time training and programmatic curriculum solutions for Field Service RNA.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop, organize and lead training sessions for Field Personnel on an as-needed basis.

  • Create and deliver programmatic curriculum content tailored for career-track professional development.

  • Grow a cadre of competent trainers through mentoring and instruction.

  • Continuously evaluate development and knowledge gaps in RNA for both soft and technical skills and take positive actions to address those gaps.

  • Remain up to date with industry trends and implement the best practices in training and education within Siemens Energy.

What You Bring

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineer or related field, or combined equivalent of education/military/technical certifications and relevant work experience.

  • 5+ years experience in creating and managing programmatic training, certification, or education programs. Experience must be from relevant industry or technical disciplines.

  • Ability to understand and apply technical concepts as they relate to the assembly and operation of rotating machinery.

  • Project management experience or experience leading technical teams. Knowledge of project management terms and methodologies. PMP certification a plus!

  • Professional certification for training is a plus (ex: MTS, CPLP, CPTM). Ability to attain certification if not held at the time of hire.

  • Excellent public speaking skills: Ability to gain and hold attention of a large audience.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
