Siemens Energy Field Service Engineer Specialist in Orlando, Florida

A Snapshotof your Day

In the role of Field Service Engineer Specialist, you will be responsible for applying your advanced and specialized knowledge of gas turbines and auxiliary equipment, as well as quality engineering guidelines and processes in order to participate in various inspection activities. You will be expected to communicate status and lessons-learned to the back-office engineering and management on a consistent basis.

How You’llMake an Impact

  • Provide combustion turbine knowledgeand expertise to division management, customer management, product linemanagement and suppliers.

  • Assist in handling spare parts,service tools, installation tools, consumables, and documentation in theproject scope

  • Active participation in outageplanning meetings with internal and external customers

  • Prepare and issue detailed reportsregarding the implemented scope, the condition, repairs performed andrecommendations for customer equipment.

  • Responsibility to comply and / orcarry out the protocols, policies, guidelines, and competencies of thecurrent integral management system (EHS, Quality).

  • Review and execute customer contractrequirements.

  • Provide Gas Turbine knowledge andexpertise to division management, customer management, product linemanagement and suppliers.

  • Direct team of field serviceengineers, technicians and craft labor personnel at customers facilities,repair maintenance and troubleshooting of combustion turbines, steamturbines and generators at various customer sites.

  • Coordinate and manage staffing ofproject team at customer sites.

What YouBring

  • Bachelor's Degree in MechanicalEngineering or similar degree is required.

  • Professional Experience (8+ years)as a Mechanical Service Engineer Specialist with gas turbines is required.

  • Fluent English writing/speaking isrequired.

  • Willingness to travel domesticallyand internationally up to 80% of time (sometimes required to travel onshort notice).

  • Experience reading, interpreting,and following technical drawings, and written work instructions/proceduresis required.

  • Must be customer focused, serviceoriented, and self-motivated.

  • Ability to work in team andindividual environment. Must have ability to develop client relationships,display excellent listening skills, and maintain a positive demeanor.

  • Strong emphasis on quality of workand Siemens Energy values

  • Ability to handle pressure andmultitask.

  • Technical Knowledge on combustionturbine and associated auxiliary systems.

  • Proficiency oral and writtencommunication in Spanish preferred.

  • Analytical, detail oriented, wellorganized.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeSuite software particularly Excel, Word and Project.

  • Applicants must be legallyauthorized for employment in the United States without need for current orfuture employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employeeswith current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
