System One is hiring for a Bridge Structural Junior Engineer (EI)

Location: Orlando, FL, Tampa, FL or Remote

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Bridge Structural Junior Engineer (EI) to join our Orlando, FL office within our Transportation Business Unit. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment where your college education and related work experience will be fully utilized. This position is designed to help you grow into a well-rounded engineer capable of thriving in today's global landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare plans and specifications for transportation structures, including highway and railroad bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, and other miscellaneous structures, under the supervision of the lead structural engineer, following AASHTO and FDOT requirements.

  • Assemble design documentation, reports, and quantity calculations for review.

  • Perform tasks as part of a team, adhering to project budgets and schedules with moderate supervision.

  • Assist the Project Manager or Task Manager with engineering cost estimates, scopes of work, and proposal preparation.

  • Complete assigned training tasks.

  • Participate in occasional site visits in an outdoor environment.
