Full time for a manufacturer in Oriskany, NY.
This candidate will be responsible for preparing and shipping International and Domestic packages and freight.
Essential Functions:
Expedite shipments to domestic and international destinations.
Work closely with the sales department staff and other department heads.
Pack parts/supplies in boxes, crates, or skids.
Build/modify skids, as needed/required.
Create all forms and documents required for shipments.
Responsible for the integrity of shipping documents, including customs documentation required for international shipments.
Keep detailed records including paper and electronic.
Perform other job-related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
Six months experience in a manufacturing environment.
A valid NY state Drivers license is required.
Must have experience working on a PC and using Microsoft Office programs.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills.
Ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
Strong interpersonal and telephone skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a highly diverse work force.
Must be punctual and have excellent attendance habits.
Be able to operate material handling equipment safely, lift 50lbs and stand for long
periods of time.
