Mountainland Technical College Testing Proctor 1 in Orem, Utah

Testing Proctor 1

Location: Orem, UT

Status: Part-time

Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Pay / Hourly: $12

SUMMARY

As a Testing Proctor you will monitor the Test Center during the administration of examinations and are responsible for enforcing time limits and compliance with examination procedures. You will assist students by explaining and answering questions concerning testing procedures and by distributing examination materials to candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate as an information source for customers and refer them to proper channels.

  • Maintain testing facilities including cleanliness of work spaces, both physical and electronic.

  • Ensure test security by maintaining the confidentiality of testing materials.

  • Ensure customer information is maintained confidential according to FERPA guidelines.

  • Accurately process customers by verifying identification according to governing guidelines.

  • Provide an adequate and comfortable testing atmosphere for customers.

  • Monitor workstations and systems for cheating and other incidents outside of testing policies.

  • Report testing issues to the proper authority.

  • Collect fees for services that require them.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma is required.

  • Ability to communicate professionally, in person, on phone, or through email.

  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and basic database functions.

  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
