We are searching for top candidates for our Field Service Engineer I in Salem Oregon.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customer with technical and consulting support; understand customers key processes and economic drivers and translate those into business opportunities.· Understand Honeywell’s technical product line and provide customer with guidance on application, life cycle management, best practices, benefits, savings / cost and other factors influencing business direction.

  • Perform process analysis and optimization

  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, system problems using standard test equipment and hand tools

  • Support client server architecture

  • Perform upgrades both hardware and software

  • Assist clients with third party vendor communication to our systems

  • Observe functionality of installed equipment or system to detect hazards

  • Repair and troubleshoot control and signal circuits and Identify discrepancies

  • Support and troubleshoot LAN / WAN communications, including Honeywell FTE

  • Perform audits and baselines of installed systems as a deliverable as well as for migrations and trouble shooting

  • Be able to respond to emergency calls and resolve them within the guidelines that meet or exceed our contract customer expectations and requirements.

  • Team Player, comfortable with being the lead or support person on site.

  • The ability to accurately document work performed.

  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of system hardware/software

  • Provide technical support to customers and serve as customer contact for service-related issues

  • Willing to travel within the local region when called upon for remote customers

WE PREFER

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • Dependable Transportation

  • Ability to learn On the Job Training

  • 3-5 years’ experience in mill environment or equivalent of process manufacturing

WE VALUE

  • Experience working in industrial manufacturing and processing facilities

  • Bachelors or AA degree in an Engineering field preferred

  • PC & Networking Skills

  • Strong understanding of real-time industrial process control
