Job Summary

This position works on a clinical operations team providing clinical support to our providers while ensuring our patients have a safe and positive experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clinical leadership to ensure smooth patient flow in the operational areas.

  • Perform clinical duties in all areas including Express, Cast Room, and pods.

  • Perform clinical duties such as the application and removal of casts, sutures, staples, braces.

  • Perform wound care and deliver patient education.

  • Answer triages, as needed or directed.

  • Room patients, take vitals and history, update electronic medical chart as needed.

  • Update and maintain patient medical records, including visit details, insurance and contact information.

  • Service patient after visit with appropriate paperwork, schedule follow-up appointment, send out medical records as requested, and answer any patient inquiries.

  • Maintain exam rooms to appropriate regulatory standards.

  • Audit new patient charts.

  • Work as a team to replenish exam room and clinical supplies, including office supplies for designated area.

  • Train others as needed or directed.

  • Perform any responsibilities of a Medical Assistant, as needed or directed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

    Requirements and Qualifications

  • Valid NYS LPN License.

  • 2+ years experience in high volume medical office rooming patients.

  • Experience in wound care, casting highly preferred.

  • EMR knowledge required, MEDENT preferred.

    Physical Demands

  • Involves standing and walking for entire duration of shift.

  • Team member will occasionally be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.

  • Normal visual acuity and hearing are required.
