Position Summary:

Under supervision, responsible for product cost oversight, operations income statement detail, and inventory analysis. Prepares all related reporting information. Performs financial analysis and participates in special projects, as required.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

Essential Functions:

  • Analyzes and prepares reporting package for Manufacturing department
  • Analyzes product costing results and variances to standard cost.
  • Participates in the preparation of the annual budgets for Manufacturing department
  • Interprets financial operating results and makes recommendations for cost reduction and profit improvement
  • Provides reliable data and looks for ways to continually enhance the quality of the information provided and the responsiveness of the team to the changing needs of the business

Secondary Functions:

  • Specialist Projects as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned.

Internal Networking/Key Relationships:

To be determined based on department needs, to include interactions such as:

  • Report to Senior finance staff
  • Interact with Production line staff & Managers

Skills & Capabilities:

The ideal candidate for this position will exhibit the following skills and capabilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years' experience in a cost accounting, FP&A or related function required.
  • Experience with product cost/cost accounting activities.
  • Experience with SAP preferred

Additional Skills/Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of accounting and financial reporting
  • Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Excel
  • Language: Proficiency in English Language required.

International Mobility:

  • Required: Yes/No

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 5% of time

The annual salary range Werfen reasonably expects to pay for the position is $75,000 to $85,000. Compensation is reasonably based upon multiple factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and specific needs of the business.
