CAD Technician

Location: Orange, CA

Responsibilities: As a CAD Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our geologists and engineers. Your responsibilities include:

  • Preparing site location maps, site plot plans, and technical data maps.

  • Creating engineering and utility drawings.

  • Collaborating with technical staff to provide accurate drawings based on conceptual sketches and feedback.

  • Manipulating standard CAD commands and functions efficiently.

  • Maintaining site plans to conform to appropriate CAD standards.

  • Using point data received from the field to create detailed site maps.

  • Assisting engineers in generating construction plans.

  • Updating legacy documents to current standards.

  • Working independently or collaboratively as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Associate’s degree in drafting/design or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Applicable industry experience, especially in environmental consulting, is highly desired.

  • Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD.

  • Familiarity with related software programs and online data sources.

  • Experience with data/database entry and working with field GPS/survey data.

  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check.

  • Attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.

  • Time management skills to meet project deadlines.
