Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Shipping & Receiving Teams perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties. They use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting incoming and outgoing shipments. They follow shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules and requirements. The Shipping & Receiving Teams receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment. They process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents. They also route merchandise to destinations.

The Supervisor (Distribution and warehousing) is responsible for managing employees and team leaders within the department with the aim of achieving maximum productivity and quality and achieving the set department objectives.

Tasks

  • Coordinate the layout of the work schedule.

  • Managing employees and/or team leaders within the department who are responsible for achieving maximum productivity and quality and achieving the set department objectives.

  • Organizing (and following up on) the training of employees to grow a polyvalent workforce.

  • Daily follow-up, coaching, motivating and developing the employees within the department.

  • Take timely appropriate actions in case of escalation of problems.

  • Supporting the implementation of TEOA within the department.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards during all operations.

  • Supporting improvement proposals in the context of optimization of the department.

  • Reporting of productivity results, 5S+1 assessments and safety risks (including resolving, reporting and de-registering the risks)

  • working in 2 shifts : 2 weeks early shift, 2 weeks late shift.

What your background should look like:

  • The successful candidate has 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing and logistics environment, with a strong commitment to safety.

  • Experienced and certified in MHE operations is a plus.

  • Meeting KPI’s, deadlines and company standards drive you to perform.

  • Dutch speaking with good knowledge of English (German is a plus).

  • Knowledge of Lean Management, 5S+1, automation of logistics flows and experienced in working with ERP system (SAP).
