Autodesk Senior Software Developer in Ontario, Canada

Position Overview

Autodesk's product development and manufacturing solutions team (PDMS) is looking for a Senior Software Developer with experience working on Jenkins pipelines. Reporting to our Software Development Manager, you'll join a growing scrum team working on Autodesk's hero CAD products, Fusion 360 and Inventor. You'll help us create complex Jenkins pipelines from scratch, leveraging our current internal systems. You'll also monitor and maintain existing pipelines and help our developers resolve related issues.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multiple teams around the company on implementation, usage, and improvement of CI/CD, Automation systems for Fusion 360 and Inventor product family

  • Support the engineering organisation with daily operations

  • Develop tools and services that improve productivity of our software developers

  • Monitor and automate system operations to detect potential problems

  • Automate service deployment tasks using scripting languages (such as, PowerShell, Shell, Python, or Groovy)

  • Perform access administration, troubleshooting, and ticket administration

  • Maintain and monitor software builds and build infrastructure

  • Improve and automate workflows, while acting on migration of build resources to MS Azure environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar with experience creating/improving Jenkins pipelines (declarative and scripted pipelines, PSLs)

  • Strong scripting skills using Groovy, PowerShell, Shell, Python

  • Experience with Windows, MacOS and Linux-based development environments, Git and GitHub

  • Demonstrated experience with MS Azure (images, instances, services, databases, and storage)

  • Experience troubleshooting, developing and implementing solutions

  • Experience with : Infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Packer) and Monitoring tools: Splunk, Kibana, Grafana, or New Relic

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ansible, Packer, and other configuration management tools

  • Containerization technologies, including Docker

  • Experience with AWS

  • Basic knowledge of C++ Exposure to large scale software build, integration, and test environments (C++ based preferable)

  • Project & Collaboration Management Systems (JIRA, Confluence Wiki)
