WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Custom Welder Fabricator is a key position in our Benson branch. You’re primarily working outdoors, fabricating rebar cages for precast buildings.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll primarily work with the production team.

A highlight of your day to day will include:

  • Fabricating metal parts and assemblies by cutting, burning, and welding various metals. Using welding machines, oxy- acetylene torches, plasma cutters, various hand and power tools, cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment.

  • Positioning, aligning, fitting and welding parts to form complete units, subunits or assemblies.

  • Inspecting completed work for conformance to specifications. Ensuring work products meet specifications, including dimensional criteria, squareness standards and weld call outs through personal checking of product.

  • Studying and reviewing production drawings to determine material requirements and task sequences.
