Position Title: Toyota-Arena Concessions Cashier and Stand AttendantDepartment: Food & BeverageReports To: Concessions Supervisor and ManagerClassification: Part-Time

Compensation: $19.00 an hour

Position Description: The Concessions Cashier and Stand Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional food & beverage event day service to Arena guests, while exhibiting a warm, friendly and professional demeanor to build relationships that will enhance the guest experience. 

Essential Functions:Assists in maintaining, organizing and cleaning all equipmentAttention to detail and consistency in every aspect of serviceEnsures all merchandizing and signage is properly displayed for each eventMust adhere to the Company dress code which includes wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoesObtain assigned workstation at beginning of shiftGreet guests in a warm and welcoming mannerAccurately use POS system while serving high volumes of guests in concessions standsFollow cash handling and tip reporting guidelinesExpedite guest food orders in a timely manner at concession stands or portablesStock product, set up condiment stations, cashier stations and display basketsThoroughly complete all station set-up and breakdown responsibilitiesPractice proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipmentPartner with other team members to ensure food and beverage qualityAssist in preparation of food itemsCheck concessions equipment to ensure proper useUnderstand and execute responsible alcohol serviceUnderstand and maintain proper sanitation and food safetyBe comfortable with the Arena and know how to navigate personally, as well as, assist guestsHelp maintain and ensure excellent customer serviceAbides by all Company policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures, the Business Code of ConductOther duties as assigned Experience/Training/Education Requirements:Must be a minimum 21 years of ageHighschool Diploma or GEDPrevious customer service and cash handling experience is a plusBasic math and cash handling experienceMust be flexible, have a sense of urgency, be able to respond quickly and resourcefully to internal and external issuesWorking knowledge of food production techniques, purchasing, and sanitation proceduresExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutionsMust be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysLicense/Certificate:Valid California Driver's LicenseFood Handlers CardTIPS CertifiedAbility to:Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in positive motivation and teamworkAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to interact with all levels of customers and staff including managementAbility to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hoursCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all staff and vendors.Be detail orientedPresent a professional appearance and demeanor at all times during the workdayExcellent organizational and planning skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong customer service orientationMust be energetic, self-disciplined with a strong sense of initiative, is detail oriented and has a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.Positive attitude and neat appearanceWork ethics encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environmentPhysical and Environmental Requirements:This position requires standing, walking, bending and lifting 25lbs. throughout the day as well as working at the computer; irregular hours will be required.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear.This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
