Front Desk Receptionist: (Onley, VA) Meyers and Tabakin, the largest furniture retailer on Virginia's Eastern Shore (since 1906), seeks a Front Desk Receptionist.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities required:

  • Provide outstanding customer service and support
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of office practices, procedures and techniques; filing, etc
  • Ability to operate a variety of office equipment; computer and various software packages;
  • Responsible for assuring cash and credit sale transactions are completed and documented correctly
  • Creating, organizing and keeping records.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships
  • Maintain a reliable and dependable attendance record
  • Provide effective and responsive service to customers and contact
  • Locate information using electronic resources, including the Intranet and Internet, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1-year proven experience in a similar role.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of personal computers and using industry software

**Availability: Full-Time (9:00 am - 5:30 pm), Monday-Saturday, with a weekday off

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal. Positions in this job typically work in an office setting but may be assigned more physical duties such as transporting office supplies and equipment. **
