What you'll do The Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer, US Tech) will work Full Time, Days and conducts multi-specialty diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to departmental procedures and provides high quality care to patients.  The Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer, US Tech) works under the direction of the Sr. Director Operations TTC.  The Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer, US Tech) works under limited direction of the Medical Director of the regional centers, Administrator of the regional centers and the Clinical Coordinator of Ultrasound Services.  The Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer, US Tech) assists in all clinical roles within Bassett Healthcare ultrasound sites and vascular laboratory by working in collaboration with the above respective parties.  This position requires travel to regional sites to provide ultrasonography coverage as necessary. What we need from you Education: AS required by ARDMS for certification. Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ultrasound technology, vascular technology, or echocardiography. Preferred training:  Accredited ultrasound program in general ultrasound, vascular or echocardiography. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to perform aspects of multi-specialty ultrasonography/vascular testing in an efficient manner.  This can include: Abdomen OB-GYN Small parts (breast, thyroid, & scrotal) Carotid Doppler Venous Doppler Abdominal Doppler API's PPG's PVR's Good communication skills required.   Physical Requirements: Requires pushing of equipment, positioning, or transfer of patients, lifting of supplies and equipment. Ability to perform difficult manipulative tasks: positioning of patients, calibration/operation of equipment control panels. Ability to perform tasks that requires eye-hand coordination as well as arm-hand steadiness. Able to stand for prolonged periods of time and remain in uncomfortable positions for scanning difficult patients. Ability to travel to Bassett Healthcare regional sites as necessary. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.   Licenses/Certifications: RDMS or RVT registration required. Pay Range Minimum: USD $37.49/Hr. Pay Range Maximum: USD $56.24/Hr.
