SUNY Oneonta Assistant Athletic Trainer in Oneonta, New York

The Department of Athletics at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. This is a full-time, 10-month, non-tenure position. The University is a member of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) and sponsors 21 Division III varsity sports. The mission of the Department of Athletics is to develop exemplary scholar-athletes who strive for competitive excellence, academic achievement, and a commitment to service. Duties include but not limited to: Assisting in all day-to-day operations of the athletic training area which will include providing expert athletic injury evaluation and documentation Developing, implementing, and documenting athletic injury rehabilitation programs, strength and conditioning programs Daily athletic team practice preparation and coverage managing a team budget and scheduling practices and contests Knowledge, compliance and enforcement of intercollegiate Athletics Department rules and regulations Participation in student development initiatives of the intercollegiate Athletics Department Hiring and supervision of student interns Coverage of home and away contests for 21 varsity intercollegiate athletic teams. They will possess the ability to effectively communicate with a range of constituents and contribute to a positive work environment. Salary: $48,000 - $50,000 - commensurate with experience. Requirements:Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in athletic training or bachelor's degree with an entry level master's in athletic training Current BOC certification or BOC eligible Current NYS registration or eligible for licensing under New York's Education law Current CPR and AED certifications A valid driver's license Effective written, communication, and presentation skills. Preferred: Post professional master's degree in athletic training or an allied health field Minimum of 3 years of collegiate work experience Teaching experience at the collegiate level Clinical coordinator experience Use of athletic training software CPR/AED instructor certified Experience working with and serving diverse populations.

Minimum Salary: 48,000 Maximum Salary: 50,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
