Conagra Principal Engineer Industrial Refrigeration in Omaha, Nebraska

Reporting to the Director of Engineering you, the Principal Engineer, will provide leadership, technical and program support, associated with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems and their related engineering compliance programs, (Process Safety Management, and Risk Management Plans).

You'll support plant teams through auditing of Mechanical Integrity, Refrigeration trouble shooting assistance, Management of Change Request review, Safe Work Plan review, PSM Coordinator Training, assisting with plant incident investigations, and working member of corporate PSM/RMP Steering Committee to update the enterprise PSM/RMP model program.

Responsibilities:

  • Review’s Ammonia Refrigeration Safe Work Plans, and other required execution script documents/work permits.

  • Assist in 5 to 10 Mechanical Integrity audits per year, as part of Conagra’s audit team.

  • Participate it monthly Corporate PSM Team Meetings and Quarterly Compliance Calls.

  • Provide remote technical input to plant teams trouble shooting Refrigeration issues.

  • Participate in assigned plant monthly PSM meeting as feasible

  • Review training program quarterly with each site & corporate team

  • Assist plants when transitioning PSM Coordinators.

  • Assist plants during OSHA or EPA compliance audits

  • Review plant management of change and Safe Work Plan’s submissions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology

  • 7 + years ammonia refrigeration maintenance management and PSM/RMP compliance.

  • Collaboration, influential management, experienced in explaining risks and solutions to diverse audiences

  • Technical Writing Experience: policy and procedures, specifications, operations functional descriptions

  • Proficient with the following computer software applications: Microsoft Excel (can perform complex functions), PowerPoint, AutoCAD, SAP

  • Good working knowledge of ANSI-IIAR-2, IIAR-4, IIAR-6 and IIAR-9

  • High proficiency in technical analysis, and conceptual design

  • We ask that you travel 30-50%

  • Remote locations Denver, CO and east and within reasonable proximity (50 miles) to a major airport

Compensation:

Annual Base Salary: $100,000.00 - $147,000.00

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
