As one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in the world we provide a full range of services including: maternity cancer and surgery care as well as diagnostics and emergency services.

Responsibilities

Hours 6:00am to 3:00pm and can vary. Possibility of weekends and rotating holidays.

FT Position

  1. Plans and prepares foods according to recipes and time schedules.

  2. Works as a team member in pre preparation, preparation, portioning, and storage of food. Assists on patient tray assembly line.

  3. Exercises quality control, including portion sizes and temperature standards. Monitors refrigerator and freezer temperatures in designated work areas.

  4. Logs information on production sheets and other records required in the department.

  5. Assists in food product evaluation, test trays, and environmental sanitation inspections.

  6. Maintains a high standard of sanitation in area of responsibility to comply with hospital management, local and state inspectors, JCAHO and CMS. Cleans and maintains all equipment and work areas.

  7. Takes care of hospital equipment and reports any equipment that is not working properly or equipment that is not safe.

Qualifications

Required:

Good cooking skills with restaurant or institutional background.

Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and a consistent positive demeanor.

Work well with others.

Ability to read and write.

Ability to calculate amounts of ingredients when adjusting recipes.

Ability to interpret written instructions and follow through with oral instructions.

Complete Food Services Sanitation class or inservice.

Preferred:

Previous food service experience and operating major equipment.

Education equivalent to a high school diploma

Pay Range

$14.78 - $20.33 /hour
