Conagra Financial Analyst, Cost Engineer in Omaha, Nebraska

Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, finance you will perform complex and interpretive financial analyses for capital expenditures in Supply Chain. Present recommendations to management. Perform analytical, monitoring, and reporting activities. Partner with specific functions to coordinate and enforce capital policy. Work with operating and functional management to resolve analytical and control issues. Implement and enforce the Capital Investment Policy.

Position Responsibilities

  • Partner with Supply Chain Engineering and other departments including Procurement, Finance and Operations to manage and review capital investment requests (CIRs) for accuracy

  • Ensure appropriate allocation to correct budget categories

  • Provide expertise to engineering project teams regarding cost control procedures, Capital Investment Policy and Fixed Asset Policy

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and tools designed to promote project cost control and conducts training within Supply Chain Engineering

  • Facilitate resolution of issues related to SAP requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, tax or other project cost issues

  • Provide guidance and assistance to Finance, Engineering and Operations personnel during CIR preparation

  • Manage capital project reporting to ensure projects are managed within budgets

  • Identify opportunities and solutions that drive process improvements

  • Coordinate and submit month-end accruals for capital projects, according to company policy

  • Facilitate capital planning and forecasting cash flows, as assigned

  • Provide analysis and reports to Engineering Directors and Platform leadership

  • Develop, analyzes and issues monthly Capital and Expense on Capital spending reports to Engineering and Finance leadership

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum 3 years related experience

  • MS Office Suite skills, with excellence in Excel is required
