CHI Health Immanuel located in North Omaha just off of I-680 on 72nd Street offers a full-service hospital cancer center rehabilitation center specialty spine hospital and more. Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Function as a mentor and coach.

  • Assist with preparation of unit schedules, including mandatory education scheduling.

  • Establish daily work plans for the team.

  • Guide peer interviewing process in the selection of unit staff.

  • Provide input and feedback to the nurse manager in regards to team performance management.

  • Conduct on the job training and education.

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to standards.

  • Maintain ongoing compliance with regulatory standards through rounding.

Fiscal Management

  • Assist in development and achievement of departmental budgets and goals.

  • Assist with payroll activities such as monitoring timekeeping.

  • Manage material and supply usage.

Clinical Competence

  • Maintain thorough knowledge and competence in areas of management and clinical practice.

  • Participate in educational programs to enhance clinical/management experience.

  • Serve as a clinical resource in an area of specialty.

  • Role model clinical and professional excellence.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required upon hire

Ideal Candidates Will Have

  • A bachelor’s degree in nursing

  • At least three years of supervisory experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to delegate, lead teams, think critically, resolve conflict, and manage time/workloads.

Pay Range

$35.18 - $51.01 /hour
