Position Summary

With limited supervision pro-actively coordinate the day-to-day activities necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences including coordination, development, and follow up with faculty and staff with on-going and new projects. This position now supervises 3 staff with the expectation of adding UNMC and external contacts to

staff in the next 9-12 months. Support accreditation, admissions and recruitment, curriculum development and delivery, events, research, communications, faculty recruitment, promotion and tenure and complex administrative activities of the program.

Provide specialized, responsible and knowledgeable support requiring critical thinking and independent judgment for Program Directors and faculty of Department.

  4. Position may require occasional evening and weekend hours, travel within and outside of the state.

  5. Knowledge of when to elevate an issue to a supervisor

  6. Must stay current on all related policies and procedures; must retain or quickly gain proficiency using evolving software applications, platforms, technology
