Aston Carter Accounting Clerk in Omaha, Nebraska

Summary: Our client in central Omaha is looking to add an Accounting Clerk to their team! As the Accounting Clerk you will complete customer invoicing, make collections calls, reconcile job costs, and help out with administrative tasks as needed. This role offers variety day to day with tons of team support and opportunities for growth long term.


  • Customer invoicing and accounts receivable

  • Collection of delinquent accounts receivable

  • Process vendor/trade applications and paperwork

  • Assist accounts payable

  • Complete and close jobs in our main operating system, RMS, and accounting software

  • Reconcile job costs from RMS to accounting software

  • Answer phones as necessary

  • Enter new losses

  • Assist with transition to Sage

  • Help out with various accounting and administrative tasks as needed (i.e. accounts payable, cost accounting, answering phones, data entry)

Skills & Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma/GED required

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or related experience preferred

  • 6+ months collections experience required

  • Desire to work in a versatile environment with VARIOUS tasks assigned

  • Any accounts payable or accounts receivable experience would be helpful, not required

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - there is very little to no downtime during the workday

Please note: This position is 100% on-site in Omaha, NE. Qualified candidates must be able to report to office daily
